I have done this exact swap (k20a type r into an ep3. along with many k24 swaps into Ep3, Ek, Eg, DC etc.). The problem with the type R exhaust manifold isn't the sway barit's the fact that it's an entirely different design. The USA one has all 4 pipes coming off the merged into 1 collector where the catalytic converter bolts on.

You don't NEED anything more unless the block is missing something. If you have to reuse some sensors, they're on your K20A3. You could run on your existing ECU but I'd get K-Pro ASAP to fix a few things.
